Golden State Warriors star Jimmy Butler has provided an update on his recovery from injury.
When Jimmy Butler suffered a torn ACL back in January, the Golden State Warriors‘ season effectively came to an end. They finished the season in 10th and exited at the Play-In Tournament.
Butler is working on his recovery, and in an interview with Sirius XM, he has confirmed that he is making progress as planned.
He explained: “Surgery went well, obviously going through that process. I’m running, jogging, that’s the beginning step.”
While it is anticipated that Butler could be back in-time for the All-Star break in February, the veteran is refusing to tell anybody when he is targeting a return, because he does not want to let them down.
He said: “As far as the target date goes, I wouldn’t want to be a liar, so tell anybody the target date.”

The Golden State Warriors failed to land a big free agent signing in the offseason, which has led to criticism for GM Mike Dunleavy.
Expectations for their season are low, especially with Kristaps Porzingis expected to miss the start of the season with illness.
Jimmy Butler can give the Warriors a new lease of life when he returns, just like his trade bolstered them in the 2024-25 season.
The challenge for the Warriors is to stay competitive until Butler returns, and be in a position where they can still make the playoffs.
