ZAK Sturge has signed a new, long-term contract with Millwall.
Sturge, 22, has been a regular at left-back this season, starting all eleven league games, and has been rewarded with a new deal.
NewsAtDen understands there is no release clause in the contract.
“We’ve been talking with Zak and his representatives for a little while,” Millwall director of football Steve Gallen said.
“When he first came in from Chelsea, he had to be patient, but he worked hard and played his way into the team.
“His progress in the last 18 months has been excellent. Zak is a strong, disciplined, consistent player and person. We’re very pleased to reward him with a new, long-term contract.”
Sturge initially joined the Lions on loan from Chelsea in January 2025, with the move only completed late on deadline day. He initially provided cover for Joe Bryan before starting the final three games of the season after Bryan picked up an injury.
He signed permanently that summer and went on to become an important part of one of the division’s best defences, starting 31 league games.
