Several players impressed for AC Milan in their 4-0 win against Salzburg, resulting in some positive player ratings this morning (for once).

After the draw against Sassuolo at the weekend, and with the Benfica defeat getting their Europa League adventure off to a rough start, Milan really needed to beat Salzburg last night. Thankfully, they managed to do so rather comfortably.

While the tactics were a key part of getting the win, there’s no denying that individual brilliance also played a crucial role for Milan. Adrien Rabiot was his usual brilliant self, Davide Bartesaghi looked revived, Omari Hutchinson impressed, and Alphadko Cisse got a hat-trick!

In short, there were quite a lot of players for the newspapers to praise this morning. The only one that didn’t get any of that was Filippo Terracciano, who received a red card after bringing a Salzburg player down on a counter-attack.

Five players received a rating of 7 or higher from all three newspapers, which is something that doesn’t happen so often.
