Mohamed Salah has brutally trolled Besiktas' president after helping Trabzonspor get one over their fierce rivals.

Liverpool legend Salah netted the second goal in the 2-0 win over the Istanbul club on Monday night, taking his goal tally to nine in 11 appearances since his summer switch from Anfield on a free transfer.

Salah will hope to be among the goals against as Trabzonspor host Hearts in the Conference League on Thursday night. Jambos kicked off their Euro campaign with a 1-1 home draw with FC Nordsjælland last week while Salah was on target in The Claret-Blues' 4-2 away win over Finnish outfit KuPS.

And the Egyptian icon has now taken to social media to mock Besiktas president Serdal Adalı, who failed in an attempt to sign the forward before he moved to Trabzonspor. Salah captioned a post on X celebrating his goal on Monday night with the words "Yüzde otuz beş", which in English translates to "thirty five percent."

This is in relation to Adalı's claim that a deal for the 34-year-old fell apart because his agent wanted too much commission for agreeing the transfer.

Adalı said: "The agent's commission has been increased to unbelievable figures, around 35%. From our point of view, such a percentage is unacceptable under any circumstances, and we don't believe Salah was aware of these figures."

Trabzonspor boss Thomas Reis is expecting a full-blooded response from Wouter Vrancken's side after they were humiliated in a 7-1 defeat away to Celtic last Sunday.

He said: "First of all, it could be a danger if we think they had a big defeat, sometimes that has happened in my career as a coach, I have also lost seven goals and it is not so easy. They will want to show this was a one-off and we will have to be ready.

"This is a really strong team. A bit similar in style of play to Besiktas, but we are prepared for this. We know that Hearts can be dangerous because of their result in the last game, they’ll want to show this was only one mistake and it was a different competition.

"For me they are a really good team, they have a good style of play. From what we saw they press very high, sometimes man to man and we will have to find solutions. I don’t know if they will want to do this against us. We expect this but they may also have their own solutions maybe to play against us.

Trabzonspor head coach Thomas Reis

"They have good rotations in their midfield with their left back, with their midfield players and wingers and we have to be ready for this. It will be an interesting game, I think a bit similar to the Besiktas one, but we want to take the three points."
