Kitty Joseph has continued her eye-catching rise within the world of BMX freestyle park riding.
The Cambridge-based teenager took up the sport less than three years ago, yet she already has an impressive collection of victories to her name.
This season alone, the 16-year-old has marked her first campaign competing in the women’s elite category by clinching two domestic titles, alongside being crowned a National Series champion.
And she recently took her success onto the international stage at the European Championships in Darmstadt, Germany.
Despite being up against seasoned competitors and Olympians, Joseph showed she truly belongs in such company by returning with a silver medal.
She said: “Leading up to the Championships, I was just pleased to be selected as a senior Great Britain athlete, but I didn’t set myself any expectations of a podium finish.
“To come back as European number two is really special.”
Later this month, Joseph, who has been selected to join the Great Britain Cycling Team World Class Programme under the Podium Potential Programme, will compete at the World Series in Shanghai, China.
