The Seattle Seahawks may have the opportunity to strengthen their pursuit of winning a second consecutive Super Bowl title this season by going after Indianapolis Colts superstar running back Jonathan Taylor in the trade market, which may give them an elite playmaker capable of transforming their offensive backfield into a force to be reckoned with in the NFL.
Seattle’s rushing production has been up-and-down to begin the year. Emanuel Wilson has rushed for 303 yards and two touchdowns on 87 carries, while rookie Jadarian Price has rushed for 119 yards on 28 attempts. George Holani has added 97 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown on 31 carries, highlighting the potential need for an established featured back in Seattle.
Zach Charbonnet is nearing a return from a torn ACL that has sidelined all year so far. In 2025, he appeared in 16 games, rushing 184 times for 730 yards and 12 touchdowns while catching 20 passes for 144 yards.
Taylor has amassed 492 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns on 122 carries through six games played this season, and has added 15 receptions for 163 yards. His power, explosiveness and receiving ability figure to complement Seahawks superstar wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba nicely, giving Seattle a dynamic offensive duo. Acquiring Taylor projects to help the Seahawks pursue back-to-back Super Bowl titles, with Taylor filling the featured-back role that Kenneth Walker occupied last season.
