As many as 10 players could be missing from Tottenham Hotspur's huge clash with Coventry City at the foot of the Premier League table.

Roberto De Zerbi's side know a win would likely take them out of the relegation zone, but Frank Lampard's side have won two on the bounce to jump up to 14th in the table.

A win for Spurs would see them leapfrog the Sky Blues, but the hosts could be without as many as six players for the clash with Coventry.

Rodrigo Bentancur will be suspended following his red card in the draw with Manchester United last weekend in an unwanted setback for Spurs who already have a big injury list..

Pedro Porro dropped an encouraging injury hint earlier this week, but the World Cup winner is expected to be missing from the clash this weekend.

He'll be joined on the sidelines by Xavi Simons who is still recovering from an ACL injury, along with Wilson Odobert who suffered a similar blow last season.

Dejan Kulusevski travelled to Old Trafford to support his teammates last weekend and he's nearing a return to action, but is still a doubt with De Zerbi taking care with the Swedish star.

Mykhailo Mudryk is another expected to miss the game this weekend, with De Zerbi revealing the Ukrainian is set for a further spell on the sidelines.

Coventry will be buoyed by Taiwo Awonyi returning from suspension, while Kaine Kesler-Hayden is also in line for a return to action.

However, Josh Eccles and Luke Woolfenden remain on the treatment table, while Haji Wright faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a quad injury expected to keep him out well into December.

Summer signing with Aurele Amenda also unavailable until at least the same period after picking up a disappointing injury.

Ahead of the Sky Blues' clash with Spurs, Lampard said: "Kaine's training with us, so he's available, Josh is not yet, he's had a baby girl last week and he's got a little bit of a problem with his ankle, returning from a calf injury.

"The calf's fine, but he's got a little issue with his ankle, so he's not on the training pitch with us yet, so we hope in the next two or three weeks to progress. Wolfy is maybe a little bit longer than that, we're thinking now."
