Major League Soccer is the league of goals, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Petar Musa and other lighting up opposing nets game in and game out.
That has especially been the case in 2026, as MLS set a new single-season goals record on Wednesday night.
Lucas Halter did the honors by scoring the 1,553rd goal of the season - surpassing the previous mark of 1,552 set in 2024 - during Houston Dynamo FC's 1-0 win at Seattle Sounders FC.

Several more goals followed on the night, and with two more Matchdays to go, this year's record may last for the foreseeable future.
But as the league of goals™, MLS will be sure to make it interesting next season and beyond.
