Serie A: Okoye speaks after crucial penalty save against Parma
Paul okoye

Maduka Okoye has reflected on his crucial penalty save in Udinese's away draw against Parma, DAILY POST reports.

The Zebras had lost their six previous league games before the visit to Parma but halted the run with an encouraging performance.

Kosta Runjaic's side had by far the most chances to win in the relegation dogfight.

However, they needed a big penalty save from Man of the Match Okoye to return home with a share of the spoils.

The Nigeria international fumbled a corner, and Parma were awarded a penalty after the ball hit James Abankwah’s arm.

The shot stopper, however, parried Adrian Bernabé's effort, making up for the earlier error.

Okoye was satisfied with the outcome of the game, and said the immediate focus is on their next match.

"We always want to win and we need points. Today we got one, and that's fine. Now we're immediately focusing on the next one.

The penalty save was pure instinct.

We've been unlucky in these games, and we've also been missing players like Zaniolo, whose importance we saw today," he told the club's official website.
