The October 20, 2026, episode of WWE NXT ended in chaos after Cruz Montana was arrested for brutally attacking Dion Lennox after their match. What started as a heated grudge match got out of control when Lennox brought Montana’s family into the rivalry, pushing him over the edge.

Montana and Lennox had been feuding for weeks, with tensions rising as Lennox continued bringing up Montana’s past and insulting his family. However, things took an even uglier turn when Lennox dragged Montana’s daughter into the feud.

Cruz Montana arrested in dramatic WWE NXT show-closing angle

This week, Montana and Lennox wasted no time getting physical after the bell rang. Lennox landed a big right hand and a spinebuster, while Montana responded with a sit-out powerbomb and many hard-hitting moves.

Neither man could take full control. Lennox landed several heavy strikes and used a headlock to wear Montana down. However, Montana eventually broke free and hit a superkick, followed by a clothesline, an enzuigiri, and a stunner that nearly ended the match.

Lennox refused to stay down and continued fighting back.

Things took a turn when Lennox returned to his personal attacks on Montana’s family. After previously insulting Montana’s mother, he made a cruel remark about Montana’s daughter, claiming he would make her father his “b*tch.”

That was enough to make Montana snap.

He threw Lennox onto the announce table and unloaded a series of punches before spearing him through the LED board at ringside. With the fight completely out of control, the referee called off the match. The contest was later ruled a no contest.

The bell did nothing to calm Montana down. He continued attacking Lennox, forcing security to step in.

Lennox kept taunting Montana even while lying at ringside. Montana responded by slamming him onto the exposed concrete and hit a curb stomp that left him down.

Montana then picked up the steel ring steps and prepared to smash Lennox with them. However, Cutler James stepped in and threw himself over Lennox, taking the impact to protect his fellow DarkState member.

Even that wasn’t enough to stop Montana. He continued his rampage, fighting off security personnel and members of DarkState.

The situation eventually led to what appeared to be police officers stepping in. Two officers confronted Montana, restrained him, and handcuffed him before escorting him away.

Lennox watched the arrest with a smile.
