Here's the complete list of LPGA players dinged for slow play in 2026

Carlota Ciganda – or as one fan called her, Carlota 'Slowganda' – made headlines after receiving a two-stroke penalty for slow play while in the mix at the Buick LPGA Shanghai.

Ciganda, a repeat offender, ultimately placed fifth. American Yealimi Noh was also dinged two shots on Saturday in China for exceeding the allotted time.

Carlota Ciganda of Spain reacts after sinking a putt on the 16th green during the third round of the Buick LPGA Shanghai 2026 at Sheshan Golf Club on October 17, 2026 in Shanghai, China.

While Ciganda and Noh were the first of 2026 to receive two-stroke penalties for slow play, they are hardly alone in costly strokes. A total of five players have received one-stroke penalties thus far in 2026, and two of those players went on to lose by one stroke.

South Korea's Jin Hee Im lost in a playoff at the JM Eagle LA Championship after receiving a one-stroke penalty on Saturday for slow play. A few months later, Aprichaya Yubol lost the ShopRite LPGA Classic by one stroke one day after receiving a one-stroke penalty for slow play.

Here are the remaining three players that have received one-stroke penalties this season for violating to the tour's Pace-of-Play Policy: Victoria Cui (amateur), Mizuho Americas Open (AJGA); Cocona Sakurai, Lotte Championship; Ziyan Meng (amateur), Buick LPGA Shanghai.

The LPGA introduced a stricter pace-of-play policy in 2025 that gives a fine for those who are 1-5 seconds over; a one-stroke penalty for those 6-15 seconds over; and a two-stroke penalty for more than 16 seconds.

Cocona Sakurai of Japan watches her shot from the fifth tee during the first round of The Standard Portland Classic 2026 at Columbia Edgewater Country Club on August 13, 2026 in Portland, Oregon.

The new policy went into effect at the Ford Championship last spring. From March 2025 to this point, there have been eight one-stroke penalties and four two-stroke penalties.

The last time the PGA Tour handed one a slow-play penalty was the 2017 Zurich Classic, a team event. Prior to that, Glen Day was the most recent player to receive a slow-play penalty at the 1995 Honda Classic.
