John Daly, Topgolf expand relationship so Masters tradition continues after Hooters bankruptcy

“A Tradition Unlike Any Other” isn’t going anywhere.

And no, this isn’t a reference to the Masters, but one of Augusta’s other traditions during Masters week — John Daly appearing in town to sign autographs and sell merch, now taking place at Topgolf after a new, expanded deal was announced on Tuesday.

For years, that occurred at the Augusta Hooters, but after the restaurant’s parent company declared bankruptcy in 2025, the location was torn down, leaving Daly, 60, without a base of operations.

Daly appeared at the Topgolf location in downtown Augusta during Masters week this past April, along with a meet-and-greet at Top Dawg Tavern.

The new agreement will expand the two-time major winner’s connection to the popular driving range.

Daly will continue to appear at the Augusta Topgolf location in 2027 and 2028, with specific details set to be released at a later date, according to a news release.

The partnership also includes the return of Topgolf Nights (which start on Oct. 22), John Daly merchandise and two ready-to-drink cocktails that will be available at 55 of the company’s locations.

“I love the vibe at Topgolf,” Daly said in a statement. “It’s a place where you can smash a golf ball, listen to music, have a drink and enjoy yourself with friends and family. That’s my kind of golf.”

Daly will also make appearances at activities at Topgolf locations around the country.

“John Daly is a one-of-a-kind icon who completely disrupted this sport by refusing to be anyone but himself. At Topgolf, we pride ourselves on breaking down barriers so anyone can play, which is exactly what makes this partnership so natural and exciting,” Topgolf CEO David McKillips said in a statement. “John brings the fun, and fun is what Topgolf is all about.”
