Terme Salus Viterbo will host Luiss Roma at PalaMalè for the second matchday of the Serie B women’s basketball regular season on Sunday afternoon, with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m. local time (CET), as reported by Etrurianews. The fixture brings together two sides looking to build on strong opening performances, with Viterbo returning to their home floor following an encouraging debut win against Stella Azzurra Roma.

Opening Weekend Momentum Sets Up PalaMalè Clash

The hosts enter the weekend after securing a positive result in their season opener against Stella Azzurra. Meanwhile, Luiss Roma arrives in Viterbo following a commanding 68-44 victory over Atletico San Lorenzo. That opening performance highlighted considerable offensive depth for the visitors, who placed four players in double figures and registered eight different athletes on the scoresheet.

While Viterbo enters the matchup with confidence, the coaching staff has emphasized the caliber of their opponents. Dobbiamo tenere molto alta la concentrazione e fare tutto bene, head coach Maria Chiara Scaramuccia stated in remarks reported by Etrurianews, noting that Luiss features experienced players, a solid defense, and an ability to dictate the pace of play.

Roster Updates and Tactical Preparations in Viterbo

Viterbo’s preparations for Sunday have been tested by minor physical setbacks during the week. Guard Elettra Paco and forward Giorgia Silvestri managed an adductor discomfort and a foot issue, respectively. Both players completed Friday evening’s final training session with the group and are expected to be available for selection.

Changes to the active roster will see Rihanna Gansou enter the twelve-player matchday squad in place of Adriana Georgieva. Coach Scaramuccia stressed the importance of defensive intensity and rebounding control against a structured opponent. Le buone indicazioni emerse contro Stella Azzurra le dobbiamo confermare e anzi migliorare, Scaramuccia told Etrurianews regarding the team’s defensive adjustments.

The league has assigned Lorenzo Ciaccioni of Campagnano di Roma and Andrea Leonetti of Manziana to officiate Sunday’s contest at PalaMalè. Admission to the arena is free of charge for local supporters.

For fans unable to attend in person, the club has arranged a live streaming broadcast on the official Facebook page of the Viterbo organization, Basket Ants, as noted by Etrurianews.
