A scooter champion who has won a world title for the third year running said his latest triumph came after an "absolute battle".

Jayden Sharman, 22, started riding when he was six and moved to Corby in 2020 so he could train at Adrenaline Alley in the Northamptonshire town.

Sharman, who recently suffered an ankle injury, fell in the first round but then landed a "near-perfect" run in Sunday's final round at the Scootering World Championships in Paraguay, said the team at Adrenaline Alley.

Sharman said he would "never be able to put into words" his success at completing the hat-trick, which followed similar successes in 2024 and 2025.

Adrenaline Alley, where he is head scooter coach, was founded in 2002 by Mandy Young and her son John Chard-Young.

It said: "After falling on his opening run, the pressure was on: he had one final opportunity to defend his crown.

"He responded with a jaw-dropping performance, landing a near-perfect run that propelled him to the top of the leaderboard and secured his third successive world title."

But Sharman nearly did not compete in the championships as he was struggling with an ankle injury.

After booking a flight, cancelling it and then changing his mind, he rebooked it just two days before the event in South America.

Sharman, who moved from Market Harborough, Leicestershire, so he could train every day at the venue, said: "I have to compete, it's who I am."

After the win he said: "That was an absolute battle. Pushing through and coming out on top is a feeling I will never be able to put into words.

"The support, the confidence but also the pressure and the expectation made this one feel so powerful.

"I am proud of myself. I've managed to take this further than I could've ever dreamed of.

"Please use this and me as an example, of what is possible if you dedicate yourself to achieving a goal."

Adrenaline Alley said it was incredibly proud of Jayden Sharman's success

Harry Tucker, marketing director at Adrenaline Alley, said: "His journey shows what the venue can represent: not just somewhere to spend a day riding but a place where people can develop a passion, find their community and work towards ambitions that might once have seemed impossible."

The venue has also trained three Olympians, including Charlotte Worthington, who won Cycling BMX Freestyle Olympic gold in Tokyo in 2021, and Declan Brookes, who took home a bronze medal from the same event.

As well as being a three-times world champion, Jayden Sharman also coaches at the Corby venue
