The 17-year-old made three first-team appearances for the NIFL Premiership status, playing under amateur terms.

He is now in Glasgow and has already made five appearances for Celtic B, who have now confirmed he has signed his first professional deal.

McGarry, a centre-back, has put pen to paper on a three-year contract.

A club statement said: "We are delighted to confirm that Shea McGarry has signed his first professional terms with Celtic!

"The young defender signs a three-year deal having spent time with Cliftonville, making three appearances for their first-team in that time.

"Welcome, Shea."
