Tottenham Hotspur could raid Club Brugge for two of their most impressive attacking players in the upcoming transfer window.
Regular readers of Spurs Web will be aware of the constant slew of reports over recent weeks suggesting that Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi is near the top of Tottenham’s wishlist.
The German U21 international has scored 12 goals in 14 appearances at the start of this season, and Spurs scouts were watching on in Belgium as the striker netted a hat-trick earlier this week against STVV.
It has also emerged that the Lilywhites could face competition from the likes of Chelsea, Man United and Man City for Nicolo Tresoldi, who is thought to be valued at around £42m.
However, it turns out that he is not the only Brugge attacker on the North London club’s shortlist ahead of January.
According to AS Roma Live, Tottenham are keeping an eye on the situation of Brugge winger Carlos Forbs, who has had an impressive start to the new campaign.
The report primarily deals with Roma’s interest in Forbs, revealing that the 22-year-old is near the top of the Serie A club’s wishlist for January.
The Gialorossi decision-makers were particularly impressed by Portugal’s international’s devastating Champions League display against Inter recently, where he scored a goal and picked up three assists.
Forbs has managed three goals and eight assists in total this season, and the website says that Roma are expected to face competition from Man United and Tottenham Hotspur for the winger.
Both Premier League clubs are said to be monitoring the former Ajax man closely ahead of January, while the player is also attracting interest from Germany and Spain.
According to a report in Roma Press, Forbs is valued by the Belgian club at €30m (£25m). That means that Spurs could potentially land Tresoldi and the winger for a combined £67m if the reporter’s figures are accurate.
The Portuguese star is a left-footed winger who plays almost exclusively on the right wing, which is a profile Tottenham have an abundance of.
Both Savio and Mohammed Kudus are more comfortable on the right than on the left, while Dejan Kulusevski has also primarily played on the right for most of his Spurs career.
If De Zerbi’s men do sign a winger in January, it will likely be a right-footed left-winger to offer competition to Mathys Tel, particularly given Mykhailo Mudryk’s and Wilson Odobert’s injury issues.
