Groupama Stadium Prepares for Meeting

European competition returns to Lyon as the French side enters the third matchday of the continental campaign. The two clubs will face each other for the first time in history. OL Lyonnes enters the fixture with four points from two matches, sharing an identical group stage record with their Italian visitors. The French team opened the tournament with an emphatic victory away against Swiss side Servette before battling to a draw against Chelsea.

Inter Milan arrives in France holding four points after securing a victory against Häcken and a draw in Vienna. Both sides sit near the upper tier of the standings, setting up a high-stakes encounter in the Groupama Stadium.

Technical Staff Decides to Skip London Gala

To prepare for the European test, the OL Lyonnes coaching staff made a significant logistical choice. The club opted to skip the Ballon d’Or ceremony in London on Monday, choosing instead to keep the squad entirely focused on training sessions for the Inter Milan match. The decision underscores the priority placed on the continental campaign as the team pursues maximum concentration ahead of the phase de ligue fixture.

Domestically, the squad managed by Jonatan Giráldez has maintained a commanding grip on the Première Ligue. The French side recently cruised past Olympique de Marseille with a 5-0 victory, following a dominant 4-0 defeat of Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes on October 17, with goals from Dumornay, Katoto, Becho, and Paralluelo.
