CAF Unveils 2026 Women’s Champions League Schedule

The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has unveiled the schedule for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League with the tournament set to run from November 1 to 15 in Ismailia, Egypt.

The competition will feature eight clubs representing CAF’s various zones, divided into two groups of four teams.

However, the representative of the West African Football Union (WAFU) B Zone is yet to be determined, as the zonal play-off between Nigeria’s Edo Queens and Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies remains unresolved.

Following the group-stage draw, Group A comprises hosts FC Masar of Egypt, South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, Morocco’s FUS Rabat and Cameroon’s Lekié Football Filles.

Group B features Morocco’s AS FAR, Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim Ladies, Mali’s USFAS Bamako and the eventual winner of the WAFU B play-off.

The decisive encounter between Edo Queens and Ampem Darkoa Ladies is scheduled to resume on October 29 in Cairo, with the remaining stoppage time to be played to determine which team advances to the continental tournament.

The group stage will kick off on Sunday, November 1, with FUS Rabat taking on Lekié Football Filles at 14:00, before FC Masar face Mamelodi Sundowns at 17:00.

The second round fixtures is scheduled for Monday, November 2, when AS FAR will meet Kawempe Muslim Ladies at 14:00, followed by USFAS Bamako’s clash with the WAFU B representative at 17:00.

The remaining group-stage matches will be played on November 4, 5, 7 and 8, as the teams battle for places in the semi-finals scheduled for November 11.

In the knockout stage, the winners of Group A will face the runners-up in Group B, while the Group B winners will take on the runners-up in Group A.

The third-place match is scheduled for November 14, with the tournament’s final set to take place on Sunday, November 15, at 17:00 at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia.

With continental honours at stake, the tournament promises another exciting contest among Africa’s leading women’s clubs as they compete for the prestigious CAF Women’s Champions League title.
