Boston Legacy FC have officially unveiled Super Falcons striker Gift Monday following her transfer from fellow National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side Washington Spirit.
The 24-year-old forward has signed a five-year contract with Boston Legacy and will wear the number 22 jersey at her new club.
Boston Legacy announced Monday’s signing on October 6, with Washington Spirit reportedly receiving a transfer fee of $500,000, alongside a 20 per cent sell-on clause.
Monday joined Washington Spirit from Spanish side UD Tenerife in March 2025 and quickly established herself as one of the league’s notable attacking talents.
She made headlines in September 2025 after scoring a hat-trick in 35 minutes and 52 seconds against Houston Dash, setting an NWSL record for the fastest hat-trick from kickoff.
During her time with Washington Spirit, the Nigerian international recorded 12 goals and three assists in 48 appearances across all competitions.
Before moving abroad, Monday featured for several Nigerian clubs, including COD United Amazons, FC Robo and Bayelsa Queens.
Her move to Boston Legacy marks a new chapter in her club career as she looks to build on her performances in the NWSL.
