Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem has expressed his delight after scoring twice to lead Konyaspor to a 2-0 victory over Gençlerbirliği in the Turkish Süper Lig.

The Nigerian international produced an outstanding performance at both ends of the pitch, scoring in both halves to secure all three points and a clean sheet for the home side.

Speaking after the match, Awaziem praised his teammates for their support and hard work, emphasizing that the victory was a result of a strong collective effort.

“First of all, I congratulate my team for their performance. Everyone gave their all to win the three points. I am very happy with the performance of my teammates,” Awaziem told Pusulahaber.

“Everyone gave their all. I scored two goals, but I scored those two goals thanks to my teammates. I am also proud of my own performance.”

The double brings Awaziem’s tally to two goals in seven Süper Lig appearances for Konyaspor this season.
