Bibiani Gold Stars coach Petros Koukouras has called on the club’s supporters to turn up in numbers and motivate his players when they face Debibi United away from home.

Gold Stars will travel to Debibi Presby Park for their Matchday 7 encounter, with Koukouras emphasising the importance of fan support as his side seeks to build momentum in the Ghana Premier League.

"The trip to Debibi is not far, so we are expecting them to come and support us. Because always, especially when they are supportive towards the players, they give us the boost to try even harder and run the extra mile. So we need them on our side because we know Debibi has a big fan base and their support on Sunday will be very, very important," he told GoldStars TV.

Gold Stars head into the encounter on the back of a 2-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars in Matchweek 6, with Kwame Opoku scoring both goals.

Despite that win, the Bibiani-based side remain 14th on the league table with seven points from six matches.

Koukouras will hope his players can secure another positive result when they kick off against Debibi United at 3:00 pm on Sunday.
