Kwame Opoku ruled out of GoldStars’ epic clash against Aduana FC

Bibiani GoldStars will be without top striker Kwame Opoku for their Ghana Premier League week 10 clash against Aduana FC this weekend after he picked up an injury in their last game.

Head coach Petros Koukouras confirmed the forward’s absence, explaining that although the injury is not as serious as initially feared, he will need time to recover.

“Yeah, Kwame Opoku picked an injury in the last game, and he was forced to go out. We have assessed the injury. It’s not as serious as it first looked, but of course he’s not going to be part of the squad this week,” Koukouras said.

The Greek tactician added that Opoku could be sidelined for at least a couple of weeks, stressing that the club will not rush his return to avoid a recurrence that could affect him for the rest of the season.

He also confirmed that Foster Agyei remains in recovery from the injury he sustained in the first game, but the rest of the squad is fit and available for selection.

Bibiani GoldStars will host Aduana FC at Dun’s Park on Sunday, November 8 at 15:00GMT (3:00pm)
