Ghanaian forward Kwame Peprah was on target as Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC recorded an emphatic 5-1 victory over Tampines Rovers in the AFC Champions League Two.
Peprah scored in the 42nd minute to cap a dominant first-half performance by the Cambodian side, who took a commanding four-goal advantage into the break at Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore.
Svay Rieng opened the scoring in the ninth minute through Martins Júnior before Tiago Alves struck twice in the 15th and 24th minutes to put the visitors firmly in control.
Peprah then joined the scoring party shortly before half-time, converting a pass from Sylvester van de Water to make it 4-0 and leave Tampines with a mountain to climb.
Svay Rieng maintained their attacking momentum after the restart, with substitute Ofufu Ibeh adding a fifth goal in the 69th minute following an assist from Takashi Odawara.
Tampines Rovers managed a late consolation through Raoul Suhaimi in the 90th minute, but it did little to change the outcome of the contest.
The victory marked Svay Rieng’s first win in Group G, lifting them to four points after three matches.
