The club confirmed the internal disciplinary action in a statement, saying Peral had acknowledged that he could have handled the situation better and conducted himself more professionally.
The incident occurred when Adade moved towards a ball near Kotoko’s technical area, triggering a heated exchange between the defender and the assistant coach.
Adade reportedly pushed Peral before the coach retaliated, prompting the referee to show him a straight red card.
Kotoko said the conduct did not reflect the standards and values expected of anyone representing the club.
While acknowledging that football can be an emotionally charged environment, the Porcupine Warriors stressed that passion must not come at the expense of professionalism, discipline and respect.
The club added that the fine was imposed to reinforce its commitment to accountability and maintaining high standards both on and off the pitch.
Peral is also facing a separate disciplinary process after being charged by the Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee under Article 12(1)(h) of its disciplinary code.

He was reportedly given until Wednesday, November 4, 2026, to respond to the charge and could face a suspension if found guilty.
The club’s internal sanction is separate from any punishment that may be imposed by the GFA.
Kotoko have urged their supporters and stakeholders to continue backing the team as they shift their focus back to their objectives for the season.
