Could this finally be the day? Not since 2002 have Leeds United defeated the arch enemy on home soil.

It is so long ago that some squad members had not yet been born - but you can be sure they will be just as eager to end the wait.

Leeds could win consecutive games against Manchester United for the first time since 1972 today - way before manager Daniel Farke himself was born.

This is a rivalry steeped in history and hundreds of years, cutting deeper than just 11 v 11 on a football pitch. This is about pride, bragging rights and the battle of the roses.
