Omari Hutchinson is starting to click into life with AC Milan following his move from Nottingham Forest in the summer.

Hutchinson became the club’s record signing when he moved from Ipswich for £37.5 million last summer, with the player enduring a pretty turbulent campaign.

First, he wasn’t included in the Europa League squad by Nuno Espirito Santo and then didn’t play much football under Ange Postecoglou when he came to the club.

Hutchinson did start to come good under Sean Dyche and Vitor Pereira, and he played a big part in pre-season under Oliver Glasner, making his departure all the more curious.

Now he’s striving to get into Ruben Amorim’s team on a consistent basis, and it would appear that he’s getting to grips with life at the San Siro.

TalkingPoints

Should we have kept Omari Hutchinson? How good would he be to have on the bench this season?

Omari Hutchinson scores for Milan

Milan are going well under Amorim and sit fourth in the table as the club looks to try and finish the season with Champions League football secured for 2027/28.

Last night, the giants faced Udinese away from home, with Hutchinson getting off the mark for his new club, smashing home after a shot was originally saved.

The Italian media praised Hutchinson for his latest efforts. The player was sacrificed against Bournemouth in midweek when goalkeeper Mike Maignan was sent off in the first half, and the Forest man ensured he didn’t let his head drop.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed: “His energy and work rate off the ball were good, and he showed sharp positions inside the penalty box. Deserved his goal.”

TuttoSport praised Hutchinson for showing patience after his move from Forest, with the player not yet considered a first-team regular in Serie A.

Finally, Corriere dello Sport lauded Hutchinson for his tactical versatility on the pitch and mentioned how impressively quick he was to react to score his first goal.

Hutchinson will hope to remain in Milan for the foreseeable future. The Serie A giants have an option to purchase the player for £40 million, but whether they activate that at the end of the loan spell remains to be seen.
