Berekum Chelsea scored deep into stoppage time to snatch a dramatic 2-1 victory over Asante Kotoko at Golden City Park on Sunday, handing the Porcupine Warriors another setback in the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko appeared on course for an important away victory after Adam Inusah converted a penalty in the 60th minute to give the visitors the lead.
However, Chelsea responded almost immediately, with Zackaria Fuseini finding the equaliser just five minutes later to bring the home side back into the contest.
Both teams pushed for a winner, but it was Chelsea who had the final say when Yussif Bayanalabe struck in the 90+1st minute to complete the comeback and secure all three points.
The defeat is another blow to Kotoko's inconsistent campaign, with the Kumasi giants dropping to 10th place following the result.
Chelsea, meanwhile, climb to ninth after claiming a valuable home victory.
Kotoko will look to bounce back when they host or travel to face Gold Stars in their next fixture, while Berekum Chelsea turn their attention to a meeting with Swedru All Blacks.
