Heart of Lions assistant coach Daniel Nii Adjei says his players are fired up to prove their quality when they take on Hearts of Oak in Sunday's Ghana Premier League showdown.

The Dzi Woa Nu face a tough hurdle against the Phobians in their Matchweek 10 encounter, but Nii Adjei insists his players are determined to rise to the occasion.

While admitting the size and history of Hearts of Oak, the former Kotoko midfielder believes the clash offers his players a valuable opportunity to make their mark and show they deserve to represent Heart of Lions.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, he told Heart of Lions TV that the players are motivated by the chance to test themselves against one of Ghana's biggest clubs.

“Accra Hearts of Oak is big. In a game of football, it is there, but on Sunday we are going there to play a football match. The players are motivated by the name Accra Hearts of Oak because everybody wants to make an impact in the game and prove that they are also worthy to play for Heart of Lions. So, Hearts of Oak are a big club, but I believe that on Sunday we are also going to do our best to prove something," he told Heart of Lions TV.

The Matchweek 10 fixture between Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions will be played on Sunday, November 8, at the University of Ghana Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 pm.
