Jose Mourinho has the perfect lineup for every big Real Madrid game now

Real Madrid beat Barcelona 2-1 on Sunday night, and a lot of it had to do with Jose Mourinho getting everything right. The lineup that the Portuguese manager went for was absolutely perfect, and it worked like a charm against Barcelona.

It had a mix of control, creativity, physical dominance, pace and intelligence, a lot of which has been sorely lacking from this Real Madrid side in these last couple of years.

The team worked well on paper as well as on the field, which is exactly why this team should be what Jose Mourinho picks for every big game going forward.

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois

Courtois is the best goalkeeper in the world, and even though he did not start against Barcelona due to illness, everyone in this world who watches football expects him to take his starting spot right back from Andriy Lunin.

Right-back: Fede Valverde

As good as Trent is, Fede Valverde will not be benched, and he is better off at right-back than he would be in midfield, which is why Valverde will keep his place.

Centre-back: Ibrahima Konate

Easily Real Madrid's best signing of the season, Konate has been really good for the team. He will start despite Eder Militao's return. Excellent player.

Centre-back: Dean Huijsen

Dean Huijsen has worked hard on his consistency this season, and he looks much better than the player who dropped off massively after a good start to life at Real Madrid last season. Expect him to keep his place.

Left-back: Marc Cucurella

If there were any doubts about who Real Madrid's best left-back is, there should not be any now after Cucurella's masterclass against Lamine Yamal on Sunday. He will start.

Central midfielder: Aurelien Tchouameni

Tchouameni is an excellent destroyer, and once he has a ball-heavy player alongside him in midfield, he plays much better football than he does next to a Valverde.

Central midfielder: Bernardo Silva

Has to start in big games. The constant movement, fearlessness and press resistance he gives this Real Madrid side is incredible.

Attacking midfielder: Jude Bellingham

Bellingham is not the ordinary number 10. He is a brilliant box-crasher, and a very creative passer, too. Excellent at dribbling past players and keeping the ball, but not afraid to get dirty and win all his duels defensively. Complete player.

Right-winger: Arda Guler

Guler has to start in big games now. He was profiled much better against Barcelona than he was against Atletico Madrid, and that should continue going forward.

Left-winger: Yan Diomande

Real Madrid's best winger right now. Diomande is a machine, and he has to start over Vinicius Junior, even in big games.

Striker: Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe scores a lot of goals, and he has good chemistry with Diomande and Guler. All of these three will have to start.
