2026/27 Ghana Premier League: Week 7 Match Report - Swedru All Blacks 2-0 Karela United

Swedru All Blacks continued their impressive run at home with a 2-0 victory over Karela United in their Ghana Premier League matchweek seven encounter at the Swedru Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Black Magicians built on their dramatic stoppage-time victory over Asante Kotoko last weekend to secure consecutive wins, with Eric Wiafe Darkwah and Faisal Charwetey getting on the scoresheet.

All Blacks made a strong start to the contest and took the lead in the ninth minute when Wiafe Darkwah converted from the penalty spot to put the hosts in front.

The early breakthrough gave the Swedru-based side the confidence to dictate proceedings as they sought to extend their advantage against a Karela team struggling to find its feet away from home.

The hosts continued to press after the interval and were rewarded with a second goal in the 59th minute.

Wiafe Darkwah was instrumental in the move, showing impressive individual skill to take on three Karela players before setting up Faisal Charwetey, who finished the opportunity to double All Blacks' lead.

The second goal strengthened the hosts' control of the encounter and left Karela with a difficult task as they searched for a way back into the game.

For All Blacks, the result represents another important step in their campaign, particularly given their impressive record at the Swedru Sports Stadium.

Their victory over Kotoko had already provided a significant boost, and Sunday's performance further reinforced their confidence on home soil.

Karela, meanwhile, will be disappointed to leave Swedru empty-handed after suffering another setback on the road.

The Pride and Passion side had entered the match searching for their first away point of the season but were unable to find a response to the hosts' goals.

The 2-0 triumph gives All Blacks consecutive league victories as they look to build momentum in the Ghana Premier League, while Karela must regroup and seek improvements ahead of their next assignment.
