Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani have joined millions of football fans around the world in bidding farewell to legend Cristiano Ronaldo following news of his international retirement.

The couple, who are known for their love of sports, took to their Instagram Stories to express their admiration for the Portuguese superstar and reflect on the legacy he has built throughout his remarkable career.

Resharing Ronaldo’s retirement announcement video, Mawra penned an emotional message, admitting that she was not ready to say goodbye to watching the football icon represent his country.

“My heart has broken into a million pieces… I always knew this day would make me cry. I knew it was coming but I still don’t feel like I’m ready for this,” she wrote.

The actress went on to praise Ronaldo’s extraordinary impact on football, adding, “There will be no one like you… ever… You were magic.”

Mawra further added, “We’re so so lucky to have lived in the same time as you and watch you play from sporting days to now… To most of us you ARE football and you always will be.”
