The best in Europe's five major leagues. On Tuesday, against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes, Lamine Yamal was on the scoresheet once again. In the 79th minute of a very difficult game away to the two-time European champions, the no. 10 picked up the ball on the right wing, dribbled past Zaïre-Emery and fired past Safonov with a finish worthy of the very best futsal players. A stunning goal that brought Barça temporarily level in a match that ultimately ended in a 4-2 victory for the French side.
As well as being spectacular, the goal was his 10th of the season in all competitions. In other words, he has already reached double digits after just 12 appearances. What's more, he had also racked up 10 assists before the game against Luis Enrique's side.
That gives him a total of 20 goal contributions, an average of 1.66 per game. An extraordinary figure that makes him the player with the most goal contributions across Europe's five major leagues, ahead of fellow Barça player Raphinha (17), Harry Kane (15), Kylian Mbappé (13) and Michael Olise (13).
He has also now scored or assisted in 10 consecutive games, a run stretching back to the third league fixture of the season against Rayo Vallecano, when he scored twice. It is the third-longest such streak by a Barça player since the 2013/14 season. The top two spots both belong to Leo Messi, who scored or provided an assist in 11 consecutive games in 2015/16 and 12 in 2018/19.
