Berekum Chelsea came from behind to beat Asante Kotoko 2-1 in their Matchweek 10 encounter at the Golden City Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Bibires secured their third home victory of the season after scoring a dramatic stoppage-time winner to hand the Porcupine Warriors another painful defeat.
The result also makes Berekum Chelsea the second team to beat Asante Kotoko away from home in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.
Asante Kotoko looked set to take all three points after Inusah Adam converted a penalty in the 60th minute to give the visitors the lead.
However, Berekum Chelsea fought back and found the equaliser just five minutes later through their 28-year-old captain and centre-back, Zacharia Fuseini, who scored in the 65th minute.
With both teams searching for a winning goal, the Bibires delivered the decisive blow in stoppage time.
Former Wa Sore Nante SC goal-sniffer Yussif Bayanalabe (widely known as "Mbape") scored the winning goal in the 90+1st minute to hand Berekum Chelsea all three points.
The victory moves the Bibires up to 9th place on the league table with 14 points after 10 matches.
Asante Kotoko, meanwhile, drop to 10th position with 13 points following another disappointing result.
The Porcupine Warriors have now gone three league matches without a win, recording two draws and one defeat during that period.
Their latest loss will increase the pressure on interim head coach Hamza Obeng, who must find a way to improve the team's results and restore confidence.
Berekum Chelsea will hope to build on their victory when they travel to Swedru to face Swedru All Blacks in their Matchweek 11 fixture next Sunday, November 15, 2026.
Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, will look to return to winning ways when they host Bibiani Goldstars in Kumasi in their next league match.
