Bechem United returned to winning ways after nabbing a 2-1 win over FC Samartex in their Matchweek 10 clash at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday afternoon.

The Hunters racked-up all three points thanks to a late winner from substitute Dennis Modzaka, who scored deep into stoppage time to give the home supporters a memorable victory.

Augustine Okrah opened the scoring for Bechem United in the 39th minute after a fine attacking move.

Kelvin Appiah delivered an excellent pass to find Okrah, who kept his composure in front of goal before calmly putting the ball into the net to give the Hunters a 1-0 lead.

FC Samartex, however, came back stronger after the break and drew level in the 57th minute through Gabriel Osei.

The equaliser gave the Timber Giants fresh hope as they pushed for a good result against a Bechem United side that had won all four of their previous home matches this season.

Both teams continued to search for a winning goal as the game moved towards its final stages.

However, Bechem United had the final say when substitute Dennis Modzaka scored in the 90+5th minute.

The forward fired past Samartex goalkeeper Zakari Musah to secure a late win for the Hunters and send their home supporters into wild celebration.

The victory moves Bechem United back to 6th place on the league table with 16 points.

FC Samartex, meanwhile, drop to fourth position with 18 points following their late defeat in Bechem.
