2026/27 Ghana Premier League: Week 9 Match Preview - Swedru All Blacks vs. FC AshantiGold

Swedru All Blacks will be looking to extend their impressive winning run when they host FC AshantiGold 04 in a Matchday 9 encounter of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Black Magicians head into the fixture full of confidence after recording three consecutive victories in the top flight, and will be determined to maintain their momentum when they welcome the Obuasi-based outfit to the Swedru Sports Stadium.

All Blacks have turned their home ground into a difficult venue for visiting teams, having gone unbeaten in their last 10 league matches at the Swedru Sports Stadium.

They will be hoping to extend that impressive run with another victory, which could potentially lift them into the top three of the league standings.

Their confidence has received another boost following last week's impressive away victory over Young Apostles, a result that underlines their growing consistency this season.

However, AshantiGold 04 will travel to Swedru determined to return to winning ways after dropping points in their last two league matches.

The Elephants were held to a 1-1 draw by regional rivals Asante Kotoko in Obuasi last weekend after failing to protect their first-half advantage.

The result extended their winless run to two matches, increasing the importance of Sunday's encounter as they seek to get their campaign back on track.

AshantiGold's biggest concern heading into the fixture will be their struggles on the road.

After drawing their opening away match against Port City, the Obuasi-based side have suffered three consecutive defeats in their subsequent league trips.

They will therefore need a significant improvement in their away performance to end that disappointing sequence and secure a positive result against an All Blacks side enjoying an excellent spell.
