Former Ghana international Frank Acheampong has expressed his delight after scoring in two consecutive games for Dalian Yingbo in the Chinese top-flight, describing his latest goal as a perfect birthday present.

Acheampong delivered another impressive performance on Saturday as Dalian Yingbo recorded a 3-1 home victory over Shenzhen Peng City.

The former Black Stars winger started and played the full duration of the match as his outfit cruised to victory in the round 28 fixture at the Dalian Suoyuwan Football Stadium.

“Happy to be on the scoresheet once again, making it back-to-back goals! What a perfect way to celebrate my birthday,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Dalian Yingbo made a bright start to the encounter, with Romanian attacker Nicolae Stanciu opening the scoring just eight minutes into the game before Jing Luo doubled the hosts’ advantage in the 42nd minute.

After the break, the home side found the back of the net again, with Acheampong scoring for the second consecutive match to help his team strengthen their advantage.

Before Saturday’s encounter, Acheampong had inspired Dalian Yingbo to a commanding 4-0 victory over Qingdao West Coast, delivering a sensational performance by scoring all four goals.

Shenzhen Peng City managed to pull one back through Chinese winger Wai-Tsun Dai in stoppage time, but it was not enough to prevent Dalian Yingbo from securing a 3-1 win.

Acheampong has now registered 12 goals and four assists this season, establishing himself as one of Dalian Yingbo’s key attacking players.
