Ibrahim Sulemana eyes long-term spell at Sassuolo, strives for career stability

Ghana midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana wants a long-term future with Serie A side Sassuolo.

The Black Stars defensive midfielder is currently on loan at Sassuolo from Atalanta Bergamo, but the Neroverdis have the option of making the deal a permanent one.

Sulemana has struggled to maintain a spot at the clubs he has played for in Italy following a hot and cold run in the league.

However, after spending time with Atalanta, Hellas Verona, Bologna and Cagliari, the 23-year-old wants to make Sassuolo his home.

"My goal is to remain here at Sassuolo for many years because since I began playing, I have never experienced stability with one team as I end up changing clubs every year," he told the club's media channel.

Sulemana admits the changes in clubs has not helped his growth, but remains focus to achieving a stable path.

"This is not beneficial for my professional growth so I want to remain here. And I have to work hard to convince both the coach and the director in other for me to stay here for many years," he added.

The Sunyani-born midfielder has already made three Serie A appearances for Sassuolo, and he is in the team for the trip to Rome to face AS Roma on Saturday.
