Heart of Lions head coach Kasim Gokyildiz has bemoaned the team’s defeat to Bibiani Gold Stars in the Ghana Premier League, stressing that his side must work on avoiding late goals.

The coach and his team from Kpando played away to their week eight opponent on Sunday, determined to secure at least a point.

Unfortunately, Lions conceded in the final minutes of the contest and suffered a 2-1 loss at full-time.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Kasim Gokyildiz praised his players for a good performance.

However, he stressed that they must do everything to avoid conceding late goals in upcoming league matches.

“We have to work to avoid at least goals that are coming in additional time. From how we played, it was a good game on our side. If we had closed up the line, I think we would have gotten a point,” Kasim Gokyildiz said.

With Heart of Lions set to face Bechem United in their next Ghana Premier League match, the coach is hoping for a win.

That week nine fixture will be played on Sunday, November 1, at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
