Arsenal Receive Kenan Yildiz Transfer Boost As Juventus Struggle Without Injured Star

Arsenal have been given further evidence of Kenan Yildiz’s importance to Juventus, as the Italian club continues to struggle for consistent results during the Turkish winger’s absence through injury.

According to a report by FootballTransfers on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, Juventus have felt the impact of losing Yildiz, who attracted the attention of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta during the summer transfer window. However, the Serie A side made it clear that they had no intention of allowing the youngster to leave.

The 20-year-old is currently recovering from a broken foot, leaving Juventus without one of their most influential attacking players as they attempt to overcome their disappointing start to the season.

Luciano Spalletti’s side currently occupy eighth position in Serie A after managing just one win in their last five league fixtures. During that run, Juventus suffered defeats against Sassuolo and Atalanta while drawing against AC Milan and Cagliari.

Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Filippo Cornacchia has attributed some of the club’s difficulties to Yildiz’s absence, particularly with midfielder Manuel Locatelli also sidelined by injury.

Cornacchia emphasised the importance of both players to Spalletti’s squad, identifying Yildiz as the team’s best player and highlighting the midfielder’s contribution to the side.

Despite their inconsistent performances in the domestic league, Juventus have enjoyed better fortunes in European competition, recording victories over NEC Nijmegen and Celta Vigo in the Europa League ahead of their next encounter against Rennes.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have made an impressive start to the campaign, winning 10 of their opening 11 matches across all competitions. The Gunners are aiming to build on their Premier League title success last season while strengthening their squad for the challenges of competing on several fronts.

During the summer transfer window, Arteta’s team pursued several high-profile attacking targets, including Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez and Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior. However, the north London club failed to complete deals for either player.

The Athletic also reported that Arsenal made enquiries about Yildiz’s availability. Juventus, however, reportedly refused to consider selling the winger, maintaining that they would not entertain offers regardless of the amount involved.

Yildiz’s injury and Juventus’ recent struggles have further underlined his value to the Italian side. Nevertheless, there has been no indication that the club has changed its position regarding the youngster’s future.

Arsenal will now shift their focus to Wednesday’s Champions League meeting with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, where Arteta’s men will aim to extend their impressive run of form.
