Cole Palmer has achieved another major milestone at Chelsea after scoring his 50th Premier League goal for the club during Saturday’s match against Manchester United. The England international reached the landmark in his 105th appearance for the Blues, according to statistics shared by Opta on X on October 31, 2026.
The 24-year-old has now become the third-fastest player in Chelsea’s history to score 50 Premier League goals. Only former forwards Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Diego Costa reached the target in fewer appearances, accomplishing the feat in 84 and 85 matches respectively.
Hasselbaink remains at the top of the club’s list, having needed just 84 appearances to register his first 50 league goals for Chelsea. Costa follows closely behind, reaching the same milestone after 85 outings. Palmer’s achievement in 105 games places him behind the two former strikers while highlighting his impressive scoring record since arriving in west London.
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in September 2023 for an initial fee of £40 million. The transfer has proved highly productive for the London club, with the attacking midfielder quickly establishing himself as one of their most important players.
His first season at Stamford Bridge was particularly impressive. During the 2023/24 Premier League campaign, Palmer scored 22 goals and supplied 11 assists, making an immediate impact in Chelsea’s attacking department. His ability to create opportunities, finish chances and influence important matches helped him become a central figure in the team.
Those performances also brought significant individual recognition. Palmer was named both Premier League Young Player of the Season and Premier League Player of the Season, becoming the first footballer to collect both awards during the same campaign. The double recognition reflected the consistency and quality he demonstrated throughout his debut year in England’s top flight with Chelsea.
He maintained his strong goalscoring contribution during the 2024/25 season, further strengthening his position as one of the club’s leading attacking talents. His performances continued to underline the value of the decision to bring him back to London after his development at Manchester City.
Reaching 50 Premier League goals in 105 appearances adds another achievement to Palmer’s growing record at Stamford Bridge. It also places him among Chelsea’s most productive players in the competition, particularly considering how quickly he has reached the milestone compared with several former club stars.
Since joining from Manchester City, Palmer has developed into a key attacking figure for the Blues. His latest landmark provides further evidence of his influence and the significant contribution he has made to Chelsea’s Premier League campaign over the past seasons.
