According to report by Ghanasoccernet on Saturday 7, November 2026, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially announced ticket prices for the Black Stars’ upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match against Somalia, with regular admission fixed at GH¢50 and VIP tickets selling for GH¢100.
In an effort to encourage massive attendance and attract more football supporters to the stadium, the GFA has also introduced free admission for students. However, students seeking to benefit from the offer will be required to present valid student identification cards at the entrance.
According to the announcement, supporters who wish to occupy the regular stands and other sections with fixed seats will pay GH¢50, while those interested in enjoying the match from the VIP section will be required to purchase tickets at GH¢100.
The highly anticipated encounter is scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at the Essipong Sports Stadium in Sekondi-Takoradi. The match is expected to kick off at 3:00 pm GMT.
The Black Stars will be looking forward to receiving massive support from Ghanaians as they prepare for the crucial Group C encounter. Ghana's qualification campaign has not started as expected, following disappointing defeats to Côte d'Ivoire and The Gambia in their opening two matches.
Those results have placed considerable pressure on the national team, making the upcoming fixture against Somalia particularly important. The four-time African champions will be determined to secure their first points in the qualifying campaign and restore confidence among supporters.
The Ghana-Somalia encounter is the first of a two-legged fixture between the sides. The return match is scheduled for Monday, November 16, 2026, with kick-off also set for 3:00 pm GMT.
The two matches represent a significant opportunity for Ghana to revive its qualification ambitions and improve its position in Group C.
With affordable regular ticket prices and free entry for students, the GFA will be hoping to attract a large crowd to Essipong Sports Stadium to rally behind the Black Stars as they seek a much-needed victory.
