Arsenal Preparing Ambitious 2027 Move for Chelsea Star Winger

According to a report by the London Evening Standard on Thursday, November 5, 2026, Arsenal are reportedly weighing up an ambitious move for Chelsea winger Estevao Willian as Mikel Arteta prepares to strengthen his attacking options ahead of next year's transfer window.

The Gunners are said to be monitoring the Brazilian teenager as they look to provide stronger competition for Bukayo Saka on the right wing. Estevao's reported lack of regular playing time under Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso could also give Arsenal an opportunity to consider a possible transfer.

Arsenal secured Saka's long-term future with a contract extension earlier this summer. However, the England international has faced limited competition for his position since becoming an established member of the first team.

Noni Madueke has also struggled to deliver consistent goals, while concerns over Saka's fitness and recent performances have increased the need for another quality option on the right flank.

According to transfer journalist Graeme Bailey, Estevao has emerged as a potential target for the north London club. Arsenal are reportedly following his situation at Stamford Bridge, where he has yet to become a regular starter under Alonso.

The 19-year-old is regarded as one of Chelsea's brightest young talents because of his excellent dribbling, quick movement and powerful shooting ability. His crossing, creativity and versatility also allow him to contribute in different attacking positions.

Although a transfer between Arsenal and Chelsea would involve two London rivals, the clubs have previously completed deals with each other, meaning a potential negotiation cannot be entirely ruled out.

Estevao joined Chelsea from Palmeiras in 2025 and has since attracted attention through his performances at both club and international level. Transfermarkt currently values him at £67 million, suggesting Arsenal would need to make a significant financial commitment if they decide to pursue his signature.

For now, Arsenal's reported interest will depend on how the winger's situation develops at Chelsea and whether he becomes increasingly unhappy with his current role under Alonso in the coming months.
