According to a report by the London Evening Standard on Friday, October 30, 2026, Arsenal have received a major triple injury boost ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool, with Declan Rice, Christos Tzolis and Riccardo Calafiori returning to training on Friday.
Their return could give Mikel Arteta more options as the Gunners prepare for the important trip to Anfield.
Arsenal travel to Merseyside looking to bounce back from their disappointing Carabao Cup exit. The Gunners were eliminated by fourth-tier Fleetwood Town in the fourth round after losing 5-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw.
Aaron Loupalo-Bi put Fleetwood ahead before half-time, but Viktor Gyokeres equalised after the break. Goalkeeper Jay Lynch then made crucial saves to help the hosts secure their place in the next round.
The result made Arsenal the first reigning Premier League champions to lose a League Cup tie against a fourth-tier side.
However, their performance in the league has been much stronger. Arteta's side are second in the table with 21 points, level with leaders Manchester City, who are ahead on goal difference.
The Gunners have conceded just five goals in eight league matches and recorded a 2-0 victory over Everton last weekend.
Liverpool are currently fourth with 15 points, and a win on Sunday would reduce the gap between the two sides to three points.
Despite the latest injury boost, Arsenal remain without several key players. Bukayo Saka is expected to miss at least six weeks after suffering a quad injury against Bayern Munich, while William Saliba has yet to make an appearance this season due to a long-term back problem.
Max Dowman will also miss the game after Arsenal's appeal against his red card at Fleetwood was rejected. The youngster must serve a three-match suspension, ruling him out of the matches against Liverpool, Hull City and Newcastle United.
Speaking at Friday's pre-match press conference, Arteta confirmed that Rice, Tzolis and Calafiori had returned to training.
Noni Madueke remains doubtful, with the winger set to undergo further assessment after Saturday's training session.
