Arsenal’s Possible XI vs Leeds Emerges After Latest Injury Developments

According to a report by Football London on Friday, October 2, 2026, Arsenal could make several changes to their starting XI when they return to Premier League action against Leeds on October 10, with a number of players facing fitness concerns.

Mikel Arteta’s side will be looking to respond after suffering a 3-0 defeat away to Brighton before the international break. Leeds, meanwhile, have made an unbeaten start to the season, winning two and drawing three of their opening five league matches.

David Raya is expected to continue in goal, while Arsenal could have more options at right back if Ben White and Jurrien Timber are both cleared to return. Timber has been working on his fitness with the Netherlands, while White has remained at Sobha Realty Training Centre continuing his rehabilitation.

Cristhian Mosquera is another potential option after training with former club Valencia during the international break. Timber could retain the right-back role, although White may also be considered.

Ezri Konsa is expected to partner Gabriel Magalhaes in central defence, while William Saliba remains on the sidelines as he continues his recovery. Riccardo Calafiori is expected to start at left-back, with Piero Hincapie dealing with a muscle problem that prevented him from featuring for Ecuador during the international break.

In midfield, Declan Rice is expected to return after withdrawing from England duty for workload management. He could be joined by Bruno Guimaraes or Myles Lewis Skelly.

Martin Odegaard is also expected to feature after recovering from the ankle problem he suffered while playing for Norway against Portugal.

Bukayo Saka should keep his place on the right wing, but Christos Tzolis is a doubt after suffering a muscle injury while playing for Greece against the Netherlands.

Eberechi Eze could therefore receive an opportunity on the left, while Viktor Gyokeres could make his first Premier League start of the season following Kai Havertz’s hamstring injury.

A possible Arsenal XI is: Raya; Timber, Konsa, Gabriel, Calafiori; Rice, Lewis Skelly; Saka, Odegaard, Eze; Gyokeres.
