According to a report by FootballTransfers on Sunday, October 25, 2026, AC Milan are reportedly considering a move for Manchester United defender Leny Yoro, potentially reuniting the French centre-back with manager Ruben Amorim next summer.
Citing Italian outlet Calciomercato, the report states that Milan are looking to strengthen their defence after conceding 12 goals in their opening 10 matches of the season.
The Serie A side are understood to be planning a two-stage defensive overhaul, with Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae among their targets for the January transfer window. Yoro has reportedly emerged as their preferred option for the end of the campaign.
Amorim previously worked with the 20-year-old at Manchester United between November 2024 and January 2026, giving the Milan manager a good understanding of the defender’s abilities.
However, signing Yoro could prove challenging, as United are reportedly expected to demand between €40 million and €50 million (£33.5 million to £41.9 million) for his services.
Yoro joined Manchester United from Lille in July 2024 for €62 million (£52.2 million). His current contract runs until the summer of 2029, with the club holding an option to extend it by a further year.
These terms put United in a strong negotiating position if Milan decide to make their interest formal.
The France international has made 73 appearances for United, scoring once. He has started the club’s last three matches, including two games at right-back, although he was sent off during their Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid on October 13.
Yoro is not the only Manchester United player reportedly attracting Milan’s interest, with striker Joshua Zirkzee also linked with a possible move to Italy.
The Netherlands international joined United from Bologna in July 2024 for €43.5 million (£36.5 million), but has managed just 10 goals in 82 appearances.
Despite Benjamin Sesko’s absence, United manager Michael Carrick has recently preferred Bryan Mbeumo in the central attacking role, limiting Zirkzee’s opportunities.
The 25-year-old came off the bench to score in United’s 4-1 Champions League defeat to Como, but uncertainty remains over his long-term future at Old Trafford.
Carrick is also facing pressure following a difficult run of results, with United reportedly managing only two victories in their first 11 matches of the season.
