Ex-Rangers star Connor Goldson returns after heart surgery

The 33-year-old was welcomed by Apollon Limassol teammates as he arrived at the Cypriot club’s training ground. The club shared footage showing Goldson walking through a guard of honour.

This marks another milestone following his second heart procedure in July. The operation lasted 13 hours, and he spent one night in intensive care before being allowed home five days later.

Goldson previously had heart surgery in 2017. He joined Rangers the following year and became an important part of the team that won the Scottish Premiership title in 2021 under Steven Gerrard.

He later left Glasgow and is now with Apollon Limassol, after spending time at Cypriot city rivals, Aris.

His return to training is an encouraging development as he continues his recovery from the latest surgery.
