Matthew Stafford had an incredibly productive career with the Detroit Lions, setting franchise records for passing yards and touchdown passes in his 12 years with the team. He was then traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, where he's found even more success and put up record-setting numbers.
On Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, he became the first quarterback in NFL history to lead two franchises in career touchdown passes. He shattered the Lions record with 282 touchdown passes and now has 155 with the Rams, also a franchise record.
His 155th touchdown pass with the Rams fittingly went to Puka Nacua, putting Los Angeles up 21-3 on the Raiders. It pushed Stafford past Roman Gabriel for the franchise record; Stafford set it in 81 games compared to 130 for Gabriel.
Stafford was traded from the Lions to the Rams in 2021, and has since won a Super Bowl, a league MVP award and is now the franchise's all-time leader in touchdown passes.
He's made himself a likely Hall of Famer with this second chapter in his career.
