As previously reported, there has been speculation about AEW hosting a major pay-per-view (PPV) event on the same weekend as WWE WrestleMania 43, which is set to take place in Saudi Arabia next year. However, AEW has not yet announced any specific details regarding their event.
In the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about when AEW will reveal their WrestleMania weekend plans. He predicted that the announcement will come once WWE discloses its own plans for WrestleMania 43. So far, WWE has only confirmed that WrestleMania 43 will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in April 2027, but they have not finalized the exact dates or venue. This is the latest WWE has ever waited to announce its WrestleMania plans.
Sapp also anticipated that WWE would finally announce the dates and venue during Crown Jewel week. He mentioned that AEW has a clear idea of what they want to do and where they plan to hold their event, adding that discussions about the show have been ongoing since the announcement of WrestleMania 43.
Earlier, during the AEW All Out media call, Tony Khan stated that the company is planning to host a “huge show” in Spring 2027. However, he did not provide further details on whether the AEW event would coincide with WrestleMania 43. Notably, WrestleMania 43 will be the first WrestleMania held outside North America.
