Combined Counties League Premier Division South Tadley Calleva have drawn EFL League One Barnsley away in the FA Cup First Round Proper.

The Romans have a job to do before they can dream of more history. Joe Lawler’s side need to beat National League Aldershot Town on Tuesday night in a Fourth Qualifying Round replay.

On Saturday, the Romans twice came from a goal down to silence the Recreation Ground crowd which numbered nearly 3,000 – almost 900 of which were Tadley fans.

The Shots were slammed by manager Scott Davies following the game, and it is unlikely his side will underestimate Tadley – four divisions below – again.

However, a sold out out, all ticket Barlows Park promises to be an intimidating atmosphere and you wouldn’t bet against Calleva advancing another stage on the road to Wembley.

Time to dream.

Reading meanwhile have been drawn away to strugglers Peterborough United where new boss Robbie Savage will face his son, Royals midfielder Charlie.
