The Arizona Cardinals made a change at quarterback in the second half of their game against the Dallas Cowboys. After trailing 17-3 in the third quarter and a failed first second-half drive that had two sacks allowed, Jacoby Brissett was benched.
He was pulled after he completed only 10-of-23 passes for 119 yards and an interception.
Gardner Minshew entered the game and immediately led a touchdown drive, as running back Tyler Allgeier rumbled for a 63-yard touchdown run, pulling the Cardinals within seven points at 17-10.
The move doesn't mean the Cardinals are moving on from Brissett beyond today, but head coach Mike LaFleur finally made the move many fans have been waiting for.
Brissett, entering the game, was 3-16 in 19 starts for the Cardinals. He had passed for 1,600 yards, 10 touchdowns and six interceptions, going 2-5 in seven games.
